Course: Canine Good Citizenship

AKC's Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program Sponsored by K9 Advantix® is one of the most rapidly growing programs in the American Kennel Club. There are many exciting applications of this wonderful, entry level that go beyond the testing and certifying of dogs. Create Citizenship within your furry friend. Turn your frazzled four legged pal into a good citizen through this 6 week course. Learn how to take and pass the AKC test for certification through positive reinforcement. Information on AKC certification can accessed thru the AKC website at http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/. The test will be administered at the conclusion of this course and canines who pass will receive AKC certification.
An initial bag of treats will be provided unless there are dietary restrictions. Leash types and other training tools will be reviewed or required on an individual basis.
Class Pre-requisites: A dog with some basic training, even if not formal.
ALYSIA WOLF is a Canine Companion Trainer and Behavior Consultant with a BS in Pathobiology, Certified AKC Evaluater, CGC and Professional Member. She is an experienced veterinary nurse/technician and animal trainer for over 10 years. She is presently involved in conducting individual case studies in order to increase certification in National Dog Training Organizations. She has 15 years experience in animal rescue organizations including foster care, training/behavior modification for proper placement.
