                                      The Board of Directors

Our History
The Adult Education Program at Green Mountain Union High school was introduced in 2004 by Sam Chauncey, our past President and Carol Gilbert, the school Principal. It went by the name of "Community Connections" then. During that first year, Sam worked from his home and arranged 12 course offerings. The concept of Adult Education in Chester was very well received So much so, that Sam realized he needed help if this was to continue. He enlisted the aid of several community members who eagerly joined the Board of Directors.

In 2005, Community Connections doubled it's capacity and offered 24 varied courses to the public. It was obvious that the program was going to grow and needed to become more organized. At the end of 2005, Community Connections became the "Green Mountain Adult Education Program" and incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. GMAEP is dedicated to bringing interesting an innovative courses to the adult population of Chester and surrounding areas. While we're still working from our homes; this year GMAEP is able to bring 39 interesting selections to the program.
